(what theories should I explain) -Can I say it in a graphic? Posters are not the same as papers. They’re more like billboards. From far away, someone should be able to get the gist of your poster, perhaps from the title.

Your posters are asking interesting question, your title should provide the answer in a nutshell. Imagine that your reader were only going to read your title. What information can convey in just the title? Try to convey the take-home message of you poster. Use active voice! Title is the largest component of the poster. Results What results are the most important? Which of my results are the most important to present? Because poster space is limited, a few key findings should be chosen to present on the poster. If a visitor is really interested in the specifics of the data, he or she can discuss it with the presenter or follow up after the conference in more detail. - Graph & stats LIT REVIEW: Main things you learned

Composition Arrange your poster for "flow", typically from upper left to lower right, to guide the reader. Align Sections Preserve some empty space. Questions to ask when designing the layout: For every piece of information: can I illustrate with a diagram or picture Is everything section aligned? Does it flow in one direction.
