Homework 40 minutes per day Reading (80 minutes per week) Math The expectation for your child entering 4th grade: Fluency of multiplication and division facts 0 through 10. 3. Spelling words

Graded Work Graded work and class work will be sent home every Friday in the front pocket of your student’s binder. Newsletters will be sent via e-mail. Please make sure we have your current e-mail. The newsletter includes: What we covered in class (in all curriculum areas) Anything upcoming that you should be aware of Please take out all your student’s work and review it with your child…this is yours to keep.

Spelling Kyrene School District has adopted the Trophies spelling program to go along with the reading program. This focuses on word families and story words. Each week: Each Monday, students will be given a Spelling Preview where they are given word family words. We will correct it together .They will take home this list of words in their home binder. Challenge words will be given to students who get 0 or 1 wrong on the preview. Spelling homework: practice the words using Spelling City at www.spellingcity.com or by another method of your choice. Each Friday there will be a Spelling Test!
