Helping children and young people put the pieces back together Return Home Interviews (RHI) are carried out by an independent agency when a young person goes missing, to find out why they went missing, if they came to any harm, and to identify what work needs to be done to stop them from going missing again. This training session will help participants to understand what Return Home Interviews (RHI) are, how to support young people through this process and how to engage with children and young people who go missing Return Home Interviews (RHI) Training Who is the training for? This training session would be useful for any adult who comes into contact with children or young people in their line of work, particularly professions such as: social workers, child and family support workers, teachers, TAs, police officers, probation workers, children’s advocates, youth workers and health care professionals. To gain an understanding of what RHIs are, when they are done and why they are needed. To understand how to support a young person during an RHI To understand the reasons why young people go missing, and the process put in place to safeguard them when they do.
