PERSONAL FINANCE: May 9 REPORT TO C11 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE Learning Target In order to successfully manage my personal finances, I will learn the fundamental principles of saving. I will know I have it when I understand: (1) the characteristics of some common savings vehicles; (2) the difference between simple and compound interest; (3) the Rule of 72; (4) why it is important to start saving as early as possible; (5) the purpose of a budget; and (6) how to make sure my budget remains balanced.
