How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger -- who announces peace, who brings good news, who announces salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” Reader 1: How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger – who announces peace, who brings good news, who announces salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”

Gracious God, we give thanks for messengers who share the good news of this sacred season this year and for many years. They offer us peace and salvation, and bring into the midst of daily lives the abiding presence of God. Bless these Christmas Fund gifts that they express our thanks to retired and active clergy in our church as well as our commitment to get on our feet with a message of your grace.
