Performance enhancing examples Promptness, reliability Home practice Concentration Pays attention Works on technique Maintains fitness Attends training sessions Coaches should set behavioural Goals
Motivational Reinforcers Social (By use of coaches ,elite players to reinforce the benefits of good behaviours) Material (Badges Trophies etc especially useful for Juniors) Performance Information (through feedback about behaviour and performance) Internal( coaches need to be able to wean the player by transferring the responsibility of positive reinforcement to the player or to a peer group. Coaches need to use reinforcers that are positive and create positive situations . Example “Well done that’s good ,your follow through is better now”
