Unit 27 Task 2 – Coaching Log

Athlete Introduction Name: Alice Gender: Female Date of birth: 11th August 1997 Age: 17 Height: 172cm Weight: 66.6kg BMI: 22.5 Sport: Rugby Position: Winger Level: Performance

Coaching Log – Athlete Observation Date 11.12.14 Location The cloud Strengths Was able to rewind the video to be able to see what she did again. Improvement Areas Maybe a video of just single players would be better however this would be more expensive. Points for future discussion To make sure you watch over 3 videos of her perform to get the best analysis. Possible actions arising Next time I could go and watch her in real life to see her play to get better results.

Coaching Log – Athlete Profiling Meeting Date 11.12.14 Location worthing Discussion points API/ASI what she thinks is important and how she feels she is at Concerns She didn’t understand it completely when I first explained it. Points for future discussion I would need to make it clearer so that she understands what she needs to do quickly. Possible actions arising To improve it I would make a thing for her to read that would let her understand it straight away so that she understood what was needed.

Coaching Log – Coach Profile Meeting Date 11.12.14 Location E-mail Discussion points I wrote an e-mail explaining what Mark Rugman and Sam Hewick needed to do for the coach profiling so they knew what was needed. Concerns They may have not understood it completely so maybe a face to face meeting went well but it seemed to be fine. Points for future discussion To meet up with the coach face to face to explain to them what they need to do there profiling. Possible actions arising I would need to work out what I would say to the coach before hand so the meeting would go really well.
