Writer’s Workshop 6th Grade

In your orange musings: FIRST 4 Quick Write: In your orange musings: Monday was MLK Day. Why do you think we dedicate a day to honoring his memory? On your desk: Writer’s notebook & pen/pencil Last Week’s HW Write tonight’s homework in your agenda. HOMEWORK: Finish drafting body paragraph 2 and 3 (reason b and c) Begin your quick write.

Last Class: We studied a mentor text to remind ourselves how essays usually go. We annotated the text to track the structure and organization. And we took what we learned to begin drafting our own essays.

Today’s Teaching Point: Argumentative writers draft by writing quickly and without judgment.
