Presentation transcript:

Pál Maurovich-Horvat et al. JIMG 2010;3:440-444 Cross Sections of a Coronary Atherosclerotic Plaque With Homogenous Intraplaque Attenuation With No Napkin-Ring Sign The average plaque attenuation on the nonenhanced CT (A) was 65.8 ± 9.8 HU, and was 66.7 ± 10.6 HU on contrast-enhanced CT (B). The corresponding histological section revealed a fibrous plaque with no necrotic core. Intraplaque vasa vasorum are visible in the basal portion of the plaque (C and D). NP = noncalcified plaque; other abbreviations as in Figures 1 and 3. Pál Maurovich-Horvat et al. JIMG 2010;3:440-444 American College of Cardiology Foundation
