DOES CELEBRITY CULTURE CORRUPT SOCIETY?

Is celebrity culture corrupting our society? The main idea of this article is Catrin Williams’ views and statements on how celebrities influence us and if they corrupt our society.

The author claims that they dominate the news , magazines and of course the internet but should we really look up to these people? Are they really success figures? I do not agree with her because not every single thing is focused on them all the time

The author claims that celebrities can make giving to charity look cool and give people hope of success in life and she states that it can be healthy to have a role model who achieved success in life. I agree with her on this part because sometimes having a role model is good for people

She now states that if celebrities can make us want to do good can’t they make us do bad also? She has been studying celebrities who have gone off the rail and the unacceptable behavior by todays standards. Not every person will do this because their role model or person they admire does it
