Then each class will visit the ‘Polling Station’ and cast their vote in the ballot boxes to vote who they want to represent their class. Once the votes have been counted; the top two will become members of the school parliament
In September, each Member of the school Parliament will apply for a specific role. For example: education minister; sports minister; technology minister; welfare and safety; health and environment and community. These people will have accountability and responsibility for their area.
What qualities do you need? You need to be; Reliable, approachable, Be positive Happy to listen and share others ideas Willing to write letters, reports, blogs or phone people Be organised and take responsibility
What do you need to do now? Talk with your teacher and class about who would like to put themselves forward. Prepare your speech for next Tuesday After Tuesday vote with your class and we’ll count the votes.
