Nerve injury induces mechanical hypersensitivity. Nerve injury induces mechanical hypersensitivity. In C57BL/6J mice, unilateral sciatic nerve compression induces an ipsilateral long-lasting mechanical hypersensitivity which lasts ∼11 weeks.
