Migrate

People who hunt animals and collect fruits, nuts, and other foods to eat

Hunter-gatherer

The study of people who lived long ago

Archaeology

Remains of objects made or used by people who lived in the past

Artifact

To buy, exchange, or sell goods

Trade

A hill or ridge of earth, stone, or other material (many Indian tribes buried their dead to form these)

Mound

A group of people who have highly developed trade, agriculture, art, government and science

Civilization

The way people worship

Religion

A person who studies the past

Historian

An agreement between two or more groups to work together in doing something

Alliance

Canoes that were made by hollowing out logs

Dugout

A team sport played with a ball and sticks with netted hooks used for catching and throwing the ball

Lacrosse
