The power of social media Alternative way of communicating with your patients. An excellent way to share and translate information on virtually every topic Reach an enormous amount of people worldwide.

Why use social media? Engage with patients/local area Increase service usage Have an online presence

Video + pictures Keep your posts engaging by including a photo or video to accompany the text. Video/Picture ideas: Weekly ‘Staff of the week post’ Changes around the practice Upcoming events

Video + pictures Sharing NHSE campaigns is a great way of letting your followers know what services are available at your practice.

Social media management Use a social media management tool to make managing your posts easier. Have a designated person responsible for posting updates. Schedule a week’s worth of tweets and posts. Build up your followers and interaction by posting a variety of content and update frequently.
