but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,  but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,     and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. Psalm 1:1-3

“Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” “And why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these.” Matthew 6:26, 28-29

The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.” Psalm 2:2-3

The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. He rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, “I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.” Psalm 2:4-6

Lord, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! Psalm 3:1

let my cry for help come to you. Do not hide your face from me Hear my prayer, Lord; let my cry for help come to you. Do not hide your face from me when I am in distress. For my days vanish like smoke; my bones burn like glowing embers. My heart is blighted and withered like grass; I forget to eat my food. In my distress I groan aloud and am reduced to skin and bones. Psalm 102

All day long my enemies taunt me; those who rail against me use my name as a curse. For I eat ashes as my food and mingle my drink with tears  because of your great wrath, for you have taken me up and thrown me aside. My days are like the evening shadow; I wither away like grass. Psalm 102

Let this be written for a future generation,     that a people not yet created may praise the Lord: “The Lord looked down from his sanctuary on high,     from heaven he viewed the earth, to hear the groans of the prisoners     and release those condemned to death.” So the name of the Lord will be declared in Zion     and his praise in Jerusalem when the peoples and the kingdoms     assemble to worship the Lord. Psalm 102:18-22
