Art Club Hello there! I’m Mrs. McClung, sponsor of the Art Club. If you love art class and would like to do some fun art projects, then Art Club is the club for you!

Art Club Art Club is open to any 4th or 5th grade student interested in drawing, sculpting, or designing. You must like to do art to be in this club!

Art Club Students will have opportunities to work with different materials that are not available in the regular classroom like clay, tie-dye, and paper mache.

Art Club There is an Art Club for 4th grade and an Art Club for 5th grade. They meet every other Thursday from 2:50pm – 3:50pm. 4th Grade Art club will begin on Thursday, September 5th, 2019. And 5th grade Art Club will begin Thursday, September 12th, 2019. You must provide your own transportation home from Art Club. Parents must pick you up promptly at 3:50pm.

Art Club Art Club also provides service to our school by preparing art pieces for display in our school, and by making objects to sell at our Spring Carnival. Each year, Art Club students submit a poster to a local poster contest. This poster must be completed at home.

Art Club By becoming a member of Art Club, you agree to participate in this poster contest and submit your posters by the required dates, with the proper authorization from parents. This is mandatory. We have had several winners in the past and would like to continue the tradition.

Art Club There are only 20 spots for membership in each of the 4th and 5th grade clubs! The Application Process entails the following: Turn in your completed applications to Mrs. McClung with a teacher reference and a hand written letter addressed to your favorite artist. Applications will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. So GET YOUR APPLICATION IN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! The club usually fills up on the first day. No applications will be accepted after Monday, August 26th.

Art Club The Application Process… If there are more applications turned in on the first day than there are spots in the club, acceptance will be based on the written letter portion of the application and your teacher reference letter. If the club is filled, students will be placed on a waiting list and contacted if space becomes available. I hope to see you in Art Club!
