Schematic representation of the progress in the development of vaccines against the most recent pandemic and seasonal H1N1 influenza virus strains. Schematic representation of the progress in the development of vaccines against the most recent pandemic and seasonal H1N1 influenza virus strains. The use of adjuvants already allows the coverage of closely related strains with one vaccine. In the future, a universal vaccine may cover all strains.
