25TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW ROYAL ALBERT HALL 24th SEPTEMBER 2017

SHOW DAY Royal Albert Hall Sunday 24th September 6pm Coach leaves am Packed lunch at theatre Afternoon rehearsal Tea Show Collect at designated point 8.45pm

BAND CALL FULL REHEARSAL Sunday 17th September 10am to 5pm Wodson Park, Ware, Herts Coach both ways for students only Food and lots to drink (no fizzy) Show T, jazz pants and jazz shoes Props but no costume (unless specifically requested) All participating students must attend

OUR SHOWCASE Some pieces from the O2 show, some new from Hero Show Act one – choir – Cambridge/King’s Lynn – both Red Choir Act two – 7/8 arena pieces, centre stage piece, opening and closing numbers Students aged 6-8 may not take part in all arena pieces due to licensing requirements

SOLOISTS Songs from Act 1 – max 2 songs pp Decided by Robert (our MD) Auditions filmed after Easter – email me by end of spring term with details Must know words/tune for solo line and perform with BT Feedback and coaching over previous two weeks Solo line and BT tracks needed for home practice Drop box link or by email

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES Auditions for spoken introductions to pieces (more info to come later) T-Shirt design competition – by end of April – B/W drawing on A4 paper

COSTUMES Approx £25 fee per child, to be paid by end of April (TBC) Base – colour TBD Arena - Centre colour accessories/other costume items Choir - Show t-shirt – centre colours (plus black jazz pants/shoes – no trainers) Black trainer socks for both acts Props for choir and pieces Torch needed, maybe other items from home

SHOW DVD AND PHOTOS DVD will be filmed and can be downloaded (unlimited) – each family will be charged £7 Hard copies can be purchased at an additional cost Still photos will be taken and you will be charged £7 per family for unlimited amount of downloads (prints available at extra cost) Payment must be received at centre by end of May

TICKETS Buy from RAH BOX OFFICE FROM from April Late releases of good seats July/Aug – can upgrade We expect each child to bring 3-4 guests min to avoid a loss Various prices, (£25- £45) admin fee applies Book correct side of theatre for best view Disabled requirements – notify to Theatre Some limited parking available to be booked with your tickets at good rate

COACHES Student return coach to WARE for band call rehearsal and single to RAH for show day (MINIMUM) Optional return for student on show day and return parent coach seats to show – indicative numbers by end March Bookings will be made according to deposits/bookings received by end March - £10pp Deposits are non returnable Costs may be around £25 for student (all) plus parent seats – will advise asap Full payment due by end of SUMMER term (PD cheques for 1st August) or cash

PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT ALL students are invited to take part, no audition required (except soloists and narrators) But must make a commitment to attend regularly and do the necessary learning at home from the CD and wordpack (which everyone must purchase – CD £5 Wordpack £2.50) Deadlines for payments must be met Information for licences etc. must be provided on time Payments for costumes/DVDs/Photos/Coaches must be received on time Child must be collected by parent at end of show (return coach is not chaperoned) Please read weekly emails for advice re the above

HEALTH AND SAFETY Mobile numbers for parents – confirm correct – switch on after the show! Chaperoned at all times – may not leave theatre Plenty of water/juice plus enough food for day High energy food, but no nuts or nut products Medication for day to CM with letter/instructions Early night and good breakfast! Consider travel sickness

MISCELLANEOUS Confirm names for programme with CM Consider if performing license needed No chewing gum or valuables (at own risk) Name all belongings/clothes/shoes Weekly emails – please check or collect hard copy if no internet Please respond to requests and pay on time – enormous amount of admin for us!!
