What is Geography? Study of the Earth a science that deals with the description, distribution, and interaction of the diverse physical, biological, and cultural features of the earth's surface

Region Grouping areas by a COMMON CHARACTERSTICS, either human (language or culture) or physical (climate or geographical features) The South, New England, Yankees, Dixie Classic Fair, Amish, Middle East

Human Environmental Interaction People change the environment to fit their needs Examples – planting trees, hunting, deforestation, factories, dams, pollution People change to adapt to their environment Examples – housing changes, recycling, types of clothes worn
