Changes since Beijing (1/3) OSPF WG Document Clarification of headers with LLS (Local Link Signaling) Incorporation of the LLS block (if present) in the authenticated data – this requires minimal parsing of the LLS block to OSPFv3 Authentication Trailer OSPFv3 checksum calculation should be omitted when OSPFv3 authentication trailer used

Changes since Beijing (2/3) Authentication Trailer key-id now more accurately called Security Association ID – extended from 8 bits to 32 bits. Authentication Type added to OSPFv3 Authentication Trailer Message verification and OSPFv3 Authentication Trailer access described explicitly (include LLS processing)

Changes since Beijing (2/3) Migration and Co-existence section added. IANA section now includes the Auth-Type Updated references and added acknowledgements for reviewers.

Next Steps – Move Fast But Not Too Fast Get additional review from OSPF WG Encourage implementations (or even experimentation) WG Last Call ASAP – depends on further comments
