Textbooks *Studysync Units of Study: In Pursuit The Powers that Be Justice Served Getting Along *Various Novel Studies The Giver by Lois Lowry The novel needs to be purchased by Friday, September 3rd **If time allows, another novel will be read and students will be notified in advanced. *Florida Ready English/Language Arts Review

Home Learning Assigned Daily Home learning is posted in the classroom. Students may check the website, but are responsible for copying posted assignments in class. Strikes recorded following JAM home learning policy 3 strikes is email home 4 strikes is silent lunch 6 strikes is after school detention 8 strikes is Saturday detention 10 strikes is a referral

Jam Policies No electronics permitted in the classroom (cell phones, smart watches, tablets, Gameboys, etc). All electronics must be turned off and remain inside bags at all times during the school day. Tardy to class – each teacher will record tardies to their specific class. If a student is tardy to any class 5 times, they will be assigned an after school detention by that teacher.

Final Reminders Students agendas are for sale at school store for $10. Jean Day $40 for whole year. Welcome Packet – Read, sign and return forms by August 23rd. Students will be assigned a locker next week make sure they learn their combination. For issues dealing with specific subjects – Contact the subject’s teacher. Send Homeroom Supplies to Homeroom teacher Study Hall Sessions are Strongly Recommended if student is selected.
