National budget obligations for NCAP activities planned for the period of 2004-2007 Continuation of reconstruction and modernization of Turkmenbashi Oil Refinery, minimization of negative impacts on the environment (USD 81,6 million) The tender is about to be completed on Construction of Hatchery (about USD 10 million) Conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity of international importance in Khazar Reserve on the coast of the Caspian Sea (total budget – around USD 3 million)

Priority potential investment opportunities of the NCAP of Turkmenistan Upgrade of the system of monitoring and pollution control of the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea and its coastal area. Estimated action cost USD 1,5 million Utilization of ferro-concrete constructions on the seashore of Turkmenbashi bay.
