What is Skillbridge? Connects Sailors to businesses and companies with available training or internship opportunities Offer a high probability of employment with Sailors who are separating Provided at little or no cost to the Sailor. Can participate in civilian job and employment skills training, including apprenticeships and internships up to SIX MONTHS prior to separation.
Eligibility Served 180 days on active duty Honorable discharge, including General discharge (under Honorable conditions) The intent of the program is for Sailors to complete the training WHILE they are still on active duty Have successfully passed their most recent physical fitness assessment
Onward 2 Opportunity 4 day foundation training, certification and job placement given at concentrated locations that also offer 60 hours of distance learning content Upon completion, interviews are scheduled between participants and local/national employers Customer Service Excellence, Information Technology, and Business Management. FREE
VA (Weams Institution Search) Used as an external source to find vetted internships by the Department of Veteran Affairs Select OJT under search tab for list of approved internships in local area
