7 Flexible Grouping

10 Minutes of Code Learn the basics of coding with the TI-84 Graphing Calculator and eventually use your coding skills to drive the TI-Innovator Rover!

Creating Writing If you enjoy creating funny, scary, or exciting stories this is the group for you!

Experimental Design I This session is a STEM focus and hands on introduction to the scientific method. Students will be able to conduct experiments and draw conclusions.

GENIUS HOUR Do you like to think outside of the box? Do you want to create something never before created? Invent something never invented? Do you enjoy solving problems? Then you need to be a part of Genius Hour! We will teach you how to research your passion in order to create something uniquely your design that you will be able to share with the world! Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither is genius, so this is a semester long course.

Let’s Take a Trip Want to travel the world or maybe just go as far as a great beach? Where will you stay? How do you choose? How can you afford to get there? Drive, fly, train? What is the best option? What are the exciting tours and fun things to do or what relaxing places are there to hang out? This new group should be your first stop to learn the steps for a great vacation get-away!

Chaos Control Not enough time in the day? Come find out how to keep school straight, organized and enjoyable, so that when you leave you have more free time at home to enjoy.

Poetry/Rap Writing Come and learn how to appreciate the art of poetry and rap. From Shakespeare to Lil Baby to Edgar Allen Poe to Jay Z, we will interpret poetry/rap and even write some ourselves. Whether you are a writer of poetry or rap or want to become one – this class will be fun!

Student Lighthouse Team Are you interested in leadership and being a student voice to make our school community even better? Join this year- long commitment to be the leader you are meant to be (this team will replace our former student council, and a teacher recommendation form must be completed).

The Art of Color A fun, creative, in-depth look at color and how it’s used to create beautiful works of art. Learn the psychology and culture of color, like how brands convince you to buy their products or why pink is a masculine color in some parts of the world. We will also look at drawing faces and figures so you can bring your characters to life on the page! Find your style and embrace your inner artist.
