Children’s Book Create a children’s book using the elements of literature.

Choose one conflict and develop it through the plot of your book Choose one conflict and develop it through the plot of your book. The conflict is something that a child will understand, and the conflict should be resolved through the main character’s self-reliance.

Characters do not have to be human. The story should focus on one central character and the lesson he / she / it learns. Characters do not have to be human. Be creative!

Your book must be written in simple language appropriate for a much younger audience. YES NO

Book should be colorful and visually appealing Book should be colorful and visually appealing. Make sure that the words are large enough for a child to read and the visuals are large enough for all the details to be seen clearly. Bad (and creepy) Good (and creepy)

You must include an appealing cover to your book You must include an appealing cover to your book. The title of the children’s book cannot be the same as the original title of a classic book! Come up with a new and creative title. for your story. Original Really? Try Harder!

Your book must be at least 14 pages long. Cover does not count as a page.

“About the Author” on the back cover Glynnis Campbell, Danger’s Kiss “Glynnis Campbell is a USA Today bestselling author of swashbuckling action-adventure romance. She’s the wife of a rock star, and the mother of two young adults, but she’s also been a ballerina, a typographer, a film composer, a piano player, a singer in an all-girl rock band, and a voice in those violent video games you won’t let your kids play. She does her best writing on cruise ships, in Scottish castles, on her husband’s tour bus, and at home in her sunny southern California garden. Glynnis loves to play medieval matchmaker, transporting readers to a place where the bold heroes have endearing flaws, the women are stronger than they look, the land is lush and untamed, and chivalry is alive and well!”

Have fun with it and be creative!
