Classroom Guidelines Be Safe Be Respectful Be Responsible

BE Safe Enter room quickly and quietly Keep aisle way clear Use all materials appropriately Only one person may be out of their seat during appropriate times

Be Respectful Use school appropriate language Remain silent when anyone is presenting information to you You must have permission to touch the property of others Speak to everyone in a polite and courteous manner

Be Responsible Be in your seat and working when the bell rings Clean up your area Bring all materials to school everyday Follow all other school rules

Class Procedures Entering the Class Warm ups Come in quietly, sit down and get out materials do not stand in the door way. Warm ups There will be a warm up everyday. The person in the last seat will be responsible for passing out the notebooks everyday.

Class Procedures Use Pen Exiting the class We do not use pencils (except for maps) in this class. Exiting the class DO NOT PACK UP EARLY. The bell does not dismiss you…I do

Grading

Tests and Quizzes You will have a quiz every Friday….yes you will have one this week. You may use your notes on all quizzes. Tests will happen once or twice every unit. You will also have vocab tests every unit. 70% of your grade is based on what you know or have learned.

Notebooks You will need a 1 to 1 ½ inch 3 ring binder. This binder will be kept in class and used everyday. You have until Monday to find one and fill it with at least one package of paper. The sooner you bring in your binder the better off you will be. After Monday you will begin to lose points. All notes, classwork, worksheets and warm-ups will be kept in your binder.
