Vision and scope Vision Patients, the public and professionals can easily access useful information about health and care research studies Scope Although the scope of this strategy extends to all health and care research which involves people, their tissue or their personal data, our initial focus is on clinical trials. These are research studies which test the safety and effectiveness of new patient interventions such as medicines, medical devices, surgical techniques, public health measures and behavioural therapies
Areas for consultation General feedback on the vision, scope and HRA’s mission and commitments Views about: measures to increase clinical trials registration measures to increase feedback to participants measures to increase reporting of results considering track record when considering new studies for approval
