WHERE ARE WE GOING?

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:: “With God as our authority, we seek to help people from all walks of life to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.” This is what our tithes and offerings are for!

Assimilate New Members on Purpose Move the unchurched from the Community, into the Crowd, to the Congregation, to the Committed, to the Core and back into the Community. This slide is for background to the entire philosophy of producing fully devoted disciples. We want to develop a process to accomplish this. Hyles: Great churches are good churches which have done it all and seen it all and keep doing it… This means they stay with the process because over time the process produces a quality product. A Multi-Year Process!!!

Goals that answer, “Do we try this?”

Class 201 = Maturity/Growth Class 401 = Missions/Sharing Faith 1. CLASS 101 - MEMBERSHIP Class 201 = Maturity/Growth Class 301 = Ministry/Gift Class 101 = Membership A woman was attending our church. She tested me about whether our church was for her by asking me about a potential new ministry. Guess? She wanted us to help an animal shelter take care of its animals. That purpose has a purpose but it isn’t covered by one of our controlling goals. The chairman of deacons in one church told me of a member who went to him complaining about us having sermons on Sunday night. He said he just wanted to hear music. The chairman said, “Don’t you think it’s important for us to have both?” The man said, “The only reason I joined this church was so I could hear all the music I want.” The chairman said, “Well, there isn’t anything we can do for you.” And the man left. He should never have joined in the first place…all he did was bring conflict. We are not here to satisfy everyone…we are here to accomplish a purpose and if you want to be a part of accomplishing that purpose then come on board! Do you know why most churches don’t have a class like this? Two reasons: they have never thought of it. 2. They don’t have a purpose to share. They may have a mission statement but they have never thought it through. Class 401 = Missions/Sharing Faith

The goal is a continuous cycle of reproducing! The cycle begins with Class 101!!!

We have identified our target!

Would you like to go with us? THIS DOES NOT MEAN: We will accomplish all of these goals but it does mean we have an idea as to where we are going! Would you like to go with us?
