REPLACING ECONOMIZER ACTUATOR MODULE
Tools Needed Drill 5/16”Hex Head Drive Phillips Blade Screwdriver Small Flat Blade Pocket Screwdriver
Replacing Economizer Actuator Module 1. Disconnect Line Power to Unit.
Replacing Economizer Actuator Module 2. Open Evaporator Section Access Panel.
Replacing Economizer Actuator Module 3. Remove Wiring Harness from ECA Module by removing Plugs. Note Proper Location for Reconnection.
Replacing Economizer Actuator Module 4. Loosen and Remove Two Bottom Mounting Screws on ECA Motor, if (LONG DESIGN AS SHOWN ARE PRESENT). Replace With Short Screws. NOTE DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN
Replacing Economizer Actuator Module 5. If Two Bottom Mounting Screws on ECA Motor are short design screw (AS SHOWN) Do Not loosen or remove. Replace Module only.
Replacing Economizer Actuator Module 6. To Access the Mounting Screws, Remove Mist Eliminator Screen from Bottom of Economizer Hood.
Replacing Economizer Actuator Module 5/16” Hex Head Screws 7. Mounting Screws on ECA Motor from Bottom.
Replacing Economizer Actuator Module 8. Remove ECA Module from Motor, Module will Pull Straight Off.
Replacing Economizer Actuator Module 9. Location of Center Screw Holding ECA Module to ECA Motor is Shown Above.
Replacing Economizer Actuator Module 10. Turn Module Over and Carefully Remove Plastic Backing Plate with Screwdriver Blade.
Replacing Economizer Actuator Module 11. Verify Software Version Printed on Chip. Note Version Must be 2.07, Replace Module if Any Other Version (1.06 or 2.05).
Replacing Economizer Actuator Module 12. Install New ECA Module onto Motor, Module will Plug Straight On. Note Module Will be Installed with Lettering Upside Down if Properly Installed.
Replacing Economizer Actuator Module 13. Reinstall Center Screw into ECA Module and Tighten. NOTE DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.
Replacing Economizer Actuator Module 14. Reconnect Wiring Harness Plugs. Note Proper Location and Direction - ModBuss Connections to 24 VAC Will Burn Up New Module.
Replacing Economizer Actuator Module 15. Close and Latch Evaporator Section Access Panel.
Replacing Economizer Actuator Module 16. Reapply Power to Unit and Verify Unit Operation.
