RAW 264.7 cells were treated with LPS (100 ng/ml), BH4 (10 mg/ml), IFN-γ (100 units/ml), l-arginine (2 mm), and test compound dissolved in DMSO at the indicated concentrations. After 18 h, the levels of NO2− were measured by Griess assay. Western blotting was performed as described in“ Materials and Methods.” The iNOS band levels were corrected by those of β-actin as the internal standard. *1, P < 0.001; *2, P < 0.01; *3, P < 0.02; *4, P < 0.05 versus positive control (LPS/IFN-γ) in the Student t test.
