Federal Riding Highlights from the 2018 BC Child Poverty Report Card In Abbotsford, 3,970 children are living in poverty: nearly one in five children. Children in lone-parent families are of particular risk with just over half of children in lone-parent families living in poverty. Poverty rates for children in this area are nearly five times higher for those in lone-parent famlies than those who live in couple-families.
