Fig 1 PR intervals of patients who had the superior septal approach (SSA) became longer postoperatively and decreased gradually. However, those of patients who had a conventional approach did not change significantly (p values of any PR intervals ≥ 0.10). Between the two groups, there was a significant difference in serial PR interval changes (p = 0.05 by the generalized Wilcoxon test).
