Process Improvement Showcase Information and Template Fall 2019 Please email your slide presentation (Slide 5 only) to: sbuller@msudenver.edu Sarah Buller, MA, LPC Process Transformation Specialist Submission Deadline: 9/12/2019

What is a Process Improvement Showcase What is a Process Improvement Showcase? An event to “showcase”, share and learn about the great improvements and change work that is happening across campus. When: Thursday, September 19th, 9am-1pm (Exact timing of the event dependent on the number of submissions received) Where: CAVEA, JSSB 4th Floor Format: Open House (Slide presentations will occur at scheduled times) Why participate? Celebrate your unit’s progress and the progress of your colleagues Reflect on the reasons for your success Connect with others across campus A learning exchange opportunity Encourage and support continuous improvement To share the work of process improvement with colleagues and the University community

Template and Presentation Tips The slide is to tell a story of how you went from point A to point B and how that change journey has benefited your unit and/or across campus Use data to demonstrate the impact of your change from point A to B There is no change too small to submit. It can range from anything from workplace organization to a complete process redesign. Showcase = conversations and connections (it’s not all about the slide!) Each person(s) will have between 5-7 minutes to present (depending on the number of submissions received) Highlight your accomplishments in the “What you learned” Section: Examples include improved service to students, faculty and staff, saved time and/or resources, increased effectiveness and quality, improved the campus culture Keep the slide simple and supplement with talking points and discussion Use visuals where you can (pictures, process maps, graphs, data, etc.) Limit the amount of text
