Leadership starts here! EME Student council Leadership starts here!

Eme student council needs you We are looking for two parent sponsors to help with student council parents work together with the teacher sponsors to help organize materials and help students with activities Help to model leadership qualities to the students Go on any field trips as chaperones

What is student council? As a leadership group, we strive to: Be role models in our school through positive behavior and good grades Participate in community service projects Promote pride and patriotism Work to be positive members in our school and community through activities that promote safe and healthy living Be positive stewards of our earth through projects that protect our environment and save energy

Activities we will do Safety patrol and other jobs as assigned Staff appreciation treats Help keep our school grounds clean and tidy Staff and teacher assistants And so much more

What is expected of members? 1. meet criteria at all times Parents and student will sign off on grade, citizenship, and point criteria prior to joining. You must meet criteria each grading period and this is checked each nine weeks when report cards come out Point sheets are due the last Friday of each grading period Failing to meet criteria can result in probation or dismissal.

What is expected of members? 2. participate in activities Members are expected to attend monthly meetings after school. You receive a monthly calendar to keep up with this. (1st Thursday of the month) Attend the Optional Work days to help with projects We want members to participate in as many service projects as possible. Some will take place outside of school. We regularly collect items to help others. Please donate when you can to ensure project success. Participation in all these things are how you earn points for your point sheet.

If this is for your child and they are ready to lead…. Permission Form is due by Tuesday, may 28th Late forms will not be accepted. If your student qualifies, then they will receive a welcome letter prior to the first meeting
