October 9 Math Fundations Reading/Writing Reminders Science This week we started story problems in math. We learned the story problem steps and have been applying them to our problems! Monday 10/12: No School! Oct. 19-23: Conferences Fundations We practiced bonus letter words and glued sounds. We took our Unit 2 Assessment on Friday. Science Reading/Writing This week we started our science unit on weather. We talked about seasons and made our own pinwheels! In writing we worked on bringing our characters to life by making them move, talk, and think. In reading we began learning “fix-up” strategies to help when we are stuck on a word.
