Scientific Fact Aka: Scientific Law Based on indisputable evidence, tested over and over… same results True beyond any doubt (“100%”) Specific, will have a lot of detailed information Will not change Examples: Physic’s laws - based on math Mitosis (cell cycle)

Scientific Theory “it’s just a guess” Ex: UFO existence Very similar to a Hypothesis - educated guess that is based on background information Scientific theory: Based on many hypotheses that have proven to be true Usually very broad and general Considered to be true (most theories are “~99%”) Can change over time Ex: Evolutionary Theory, Abiogenesis, & Cell Theory
