Ari and Dante Day 1

Warm Up: On your strip of paper, write one example of a good question and one example of a bad question. Use your reading assignment to come up with questions. Do not write your name, bad question, or good question on the piece of paper. Pass forward when you are finished.

Weak Questions: Why are these bad questions? Is there anything we can do to make it a better question? Why are these good questions? What’s the difference between a comprehension question and an analysis question? What are the traits of a good question?

Copy this chart on a piece of paper. Ari’s World Dante’s World

Ari’s Universe vs. Dante’s Universe Search through pages 5-35 for examples of the way Ari sees the universe. Write down quotations and then decide what they reveal about Ari’s worldview. Repeat this process for Dante. What’s different? What do they have in common?
