STARTER In small groups create a mind map to show the different types of media products. For each response, provide an example. Identify the target audience for each. Name 3 conventions for each media product.

TASK 1 Movie posters are one way in which to promote an upcoming film. List the conventions used within the movie poster. Identify the genre and its conventions. Identify the audience. Analyse the use of the genre conventions to appeal to the target audience.

TASK 2 Select a movie of your choice and create a visualisation diagram (sketched design) to help promote. You should include: Images. Text. Title. Colour. Annotations to explain your idea.

TASK 3 Present/Discuss your idea with your peer and gain feedback. Discuss the pros and cons of your idea and also suggest ways you could improve.
