#Lounge Aid LOUNGERS LIMITED

What is #LoungeAid & why bother? #LoungeAid is an annual event where a Lounges focus on supporting a local charity When? April – May 2019 Activities/events should take place in April/May. You do NOT have to host events for the whole two months Why? It's nice to do something for the less fortunate Lounges are community lead It brings in new customers It's FUN! What benefits would charity work have on your team? How will it make your community feel seeing you raise money/support for local charities?

Top tips LoungeAid is not just about fundraising money. It’s about your team working with a local charity to help them with their needs/aims. This could be donating your time/skills, raising awareness, hosting activities or fundraising Think hard about which charity to support – local to your community or personal to a team member Tell the story of why you've chosen that charity – on social media, black boards, event posters Pick events suitable to your community or really challenge your team Who’s in charge? You either need one person or a team. Whoever it is they need the GMs & the teams support and help Advertise & tell everyone about it – posters, social media, word of mouth, contact local papers Spread the responsibility – many hands make light work!

#LoungeAid Activity should… Not sell products for charity – we’re happy for Lounges to hold one off bake sales, but free/old stock or special cocktails/mocktails should not be sold for charity Be one or two really good events, rather than lots. You need to be careful that you’re not asking for donations for lots of different events for a prolonged time Be held during April – May. You do NOT have to host events for the whole two months Either raise money for a local charity that means something to the Lounges community or a charity which personally means something to a team member
