Purpose The intention of this presentation is to: Provide a summary of notable changes from ISO 10014:2006 to ISO 10014:20XX ISO/TC 176/TG 01

Introduction Introduction to ISO 10014 This International Standard is specifically directed to the top management of an organization It provides guidelines for realizing financial and economic benefits by applying a top-down structured approach for monitoring and trending key metrics and taking improvement action using quality management systems and quality management principles Adoption of these principles is a strategic top-management decision Implementation of these principles establishes and enables a linkage between effective management and the realization of financial and economic benefits and other organizational goals ISO/TC 176/TG 01

Key Changes Key Changes of the ISO 10014 revision are: a new title to meet ISO naming procedure and intent, comprehensively rewritten content to address top management, a revised Top Down structured approach to improvement incorporating PDCA, alignment to ISO 9000:2015, ISO 9001:2015, Quality Management Principles. ISO/TC 176/TG 01

Benefits Benefits of using ISO 10014 are: effectively applying a structured continual-improvement cycle (Plan - Do- Check - Act), implementation of the seven quality management principles incumbent in the ISO 9000:2015 quality management standard, improved budgetary performance, increased competitiveness, improved customer retention and loyalty, optimized, effective and efficient processes, improved supply chain performance. Summary The ISO 10014 standard: provides concepts and guidelines for quality management in projects, outlines the quality management principles and practices in projects, can be widely used in any kind of project and is useful to project managers, recommends how organizations can manage projects and their processes, products and services in a systematic approach to enhance coordination and compatibility.
