How to Help Room Parent PTO

Parent Service Hours You must submit them in the front office Two due dates per year Make sure they have your name and are signed by the supervisor $20 for each hour not submitted on time

Contacting Teachers Teachers are unable to meet with parents at pick up time as their attention should be on the safety of the children. Please wait until 3:05 pm to meet with teachers or set up appointment. School Phone Number: (661) 259-8254 Email: carroyo@olphscmail.org School Website: olphsc.org/classes/seventh-grade *Note: I spend most of the time I am on campus with the students. As such, I will not be able to respond to a message immediately. I will respond as soon as possible.

Ambassador Trait Only 1 - 2 students will be selected who embody that month’s trait This means 10 - 20 students total will be chosen in each class As such, some students will not be chosen This will help make being chosen more authentic We selected a variety of traits that showcase positive life and social skills

Read the Parent Handbook It is Online Changes and updated every year Look At Uniform Student Electronics Pick Up Policy and Kids Care Time

Gradelink Gradelink keeps parents, children, and teacher informed Check regularly Set up to email you for incompletes and low grades – Check that it did not reset your preferences If there is a problem, please have the student discuss it with the teacher outside of instruction time

Math Curriculum and Standards If you are absent 1 day, it is really 1.5 days of a traditional program. Students must make up all classwork, notes, and homework if absent

Homework Policy Homework reinforces what has been taught in class and prepares students for upcoming lessons. Additionally, helps students develop self- discipline, responsibility, and organizational skills. Success in learning like anything else requires practice for mastery. Have students review work, read, math facts, and write
