Agnes de Mille By jenna gordon

Background Information Agnes de Mill was born in 1905 and was the daughter of famous play write William Churchill de Mill. De Mill originally wanted to be a performer, so she started choreographing her own dances.

Style De Mill's style of dance is centered around ballet; however she incorporates some modern technic.

Best Known Shows De Mille started her carrier doing ballet, her biggest hits where "Three Virgins and a Devil", "Black Ritual", which was the first ballet to feature black dancers, and "Rodeo", which got the attention of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstien. Some famous musicals she choreographed are 'Oklahoma!", "Carousel", and "Paint your Wagon".
