Important Information Open Enrollment Information Important Information Open Enrollment is your opportunity to make decisions regarding your benefits. Whether you are enrolling in benefits for the first time, or making changes to your current benefits, your selections will remain for the entire plan year (1/1 – 12/31), unless you have a qualifying event. New employee premiums will be deducted in December for January 1 effective coverage date
Qualifying Events Notification Important: Selections made during the open enrollment period are to remain in effect for the entire plan year (1/1 – 12/31) unless you have a qualifying event. So, what is a qualifying event? Qualifying life events include marriage, divorce, a change in your number of dependents, or loss of coverage. Contact the Benefits Department in you have specific questions regarding permitted Special enrollment/Qualifying events under HIPAA and your plan’s Section 125 plan. IMPORTANT: A qualifying event must be reported to the HR/Benefits Department within 30 days of the event, or changes cannot occur until the next Open Enrollment period.
