Some religions teach Jesus is not a Divine Being. He was the first thing God created He was a good man…good teacher But He was not the Son of God Jesus claimed differently.

And He was saying to them, “You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world. I said therefore to you, that you shall die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins.” John 8:23-24

Jesus answered, “If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is My Father who glorifies Me, of whom you say, ‘He is our God;’ and you have not come to know Him, but I know Him; and if I say that I do not know Him, I shall be a liar like you, but I do know Him, and keep His word. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.”

The Jews therefore said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” John 8:54-58

Jesus was “worshiped” on 9 different occasions in the N.T. Matt 2:11 Matt 14:33 Matt 28:9 Matt 8:2 Matt 15:25 Matt 28:17 Matt 9:18 Matt 20:20 Mark 5:6 If only God is to be worshiped, Jesus sinned by allowing such if He is not Divine.

Jesus was “worshiped” on 9 different occasions in the N.T. Matt 2:11 Matt 14:33 Matt 28:9 Matt 8:2 Matt 15:25 Matt 28:17 Matt 9:18 Matt 20:20 Mark 5:6 Jesus never rebuked the one who offered such “worship” to Him.

Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus is worthy to be worshiped.

“For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, in order that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.” John 5:22-23

“Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing.” Rev 5:12

We have gathered this morning to worship God…the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. Thank you for coming to be with us today…nothing is more important than what we are about to do. May God be praised by our worship.
