2 Peter 1:19-21 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto you do well that you take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 2:10  But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.  John writes 16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of Truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 1 Corinthians 2:13  These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  Wednesday Paul writes

1 Corinthians 2:14  But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.  Paul writes

Thursday John writes 5:39  Search the scriptures; for in them you think you have eternal life: and they are they which testify of Me.  46  For had you believed Moses, you would have believed Me: for he wrote of Me. 47  But if you believe not his writings how shall you believe My words?

The people of God are directed to the Scriptures as their safeguard against the influence of false teachers and the delusive power of spirits of darkness.
