Living Well with Diabetes I have diabetes but it doesn’t have me As we grow older, we all wish for good health and a sense of well-being. But for those living with Type II diabetes, life and health can be hard to manage. This self-management workshop Living Well with Diabetes* can help you take control of your health! Do you have any of these thoughts? I wish it were easy to manage symptoms. I miss doing things with my family and friends. It’s harder to set goals and solve problems than it used to be. I wish it were easy to change how and what I eat. I’d like more helpful conversations with my doctor. This six-week workshop can help! You can succeed with these actions and learn much more… Managing symptoms Communicating well about health Preventing low blood sugar and complications Dealing with difficult emotions and stress Creating and practicing setting Monitoring health manageable goals Practical tips for increasing physical activity Sharing ideas and accomplishments with others who are also living with diabetes Working with health professionals Sessions: Mondays 10:00 am – 12:30 pm September 25th – October 30th, 2017 Tilden Community Center- Hastings 310 River Street 651-480-7689  The reference book, “Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions” is provided with the workshop.
