Narrative Poetry Notes 1. Tells a story 2. Like a short story, a narrative poem has a plot, characters, a setting, and a theme. 3. Unlike a short story, it is written in verse language with a definite rhythm, or beat. 4. In many, the verses rhyme. 5. Divided into stanzas. 6. The stanzas usually have the same number of lines, and the same rhyme pattern
