Why ? Legislation in the State of Texas requires it. Public Utility Commission of Texas has rules & guidelines that must be followed. AEP Texas believes energy efficiency programs present cost-effective ways for customers to save energy and reduce energy costs.

How ? Standard Offer Programs (SOP) & Market Transformation Programs (MTP) for Residential and Commercial Customers

Residential Programs Residential SOP Residential Hard-to-Reach SOP Residential Low-income Program Provide incentives to participating contractors who install and sell a wide variety of energy saving measures in residences and apartments, some at no- or low-cost to the customer. Customers choose the services they want from the contractor they choose.
