Profession of Faith

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord;

who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried;

Prayer of Confession All

O God, we rejoice in the perfection of Your Word, that in the Scriptures You have revealed Your love for us in Jesus Christ and how we might love You in return.

Lord, we confess that what we know and how we live don’t always line up.

We say we believe, we say we trust, and yet our actions reveal our true selves before You.

Have mercy on our wandering hearts, and pity on our weakness.

Take us to the place where we can see that without You we can do nothing.

Teach us not only to know Your Word, but how to live and die by it.

May Your Spirit illumine our lives, and lead us in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake.

Lord, hear our prayers.
