What is Fatherhood? Luke 1: 13-17 John 14: 7-11

Father - Son

A Secular Description of What Is Fatherhood!

Scriptural Perspectives of Fatherhood:

Luke 1:13-17 (NKJV) 13 But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. 14 And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. 15 For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb. 16 And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God. 17 He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

John 14:7-11 (NKJV) 7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” 8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” 9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.

One Answer to the question “What is a Dad?”

overlooks your mistakes, “Dad is our male role model, who is always there, not only in the good times, but the bad times too. He is someone who loves you with all his heart, desires to do anything possible to help you succeed, overlooks your mistakes,

means to love and be loved and provides you with the encouragement when life most requires it. But the most important part of being a Dad is he reminds us and shows us what it means to love and be loved by Jesus!”

Dad’s Happy Father’s Day!
